I am a mother of two adult children, and the grandmother of three beautiful granddaughters.  I recently moved from Pennsylvania to West Virginia to be closer to my daughter and her girls, but am not sure this is where I’ll stay.  I don’t mind traveling, uprooting, and finding out about new places, but for 30 of the past 33 years, I was happily rooted in my marriage and living in the same place.  After the sudden death of my husband, the reality of being alone hit me, and I needed to be close to those beautiful little faces, but if my daughter and her husband move, I may just move somewhere else, I don’t know.  We’ll see where I am needed most.

My faith has always sustained me, in the toughest of times, and even in the not so tough times.  When things are going well, it’s just as much a part of me to say thank you as it is to say I need your help during the tough times.  Prayer has been like breathing to me for most of my life, but I also embrace new ways to pray, and new prayers that may not come from my faith background.

I was raised Methodist, joined the Church of Christ when I was a teen, but am very happy to say I am Roman Catholic by choice.  The rich history of the church, the liturgy, and the people I’ve connected with through the Catholic church have helped to build upon my existing faith.  I’ve worked for the Catholic church as the Director of Religious Education at my local parish, as the administrator of a small Reform Jewish Congregation and have worked in many other fields including banking, investments and in the retail industry.  I love the fact that Prayables is here for us, here for you, and here for all women.
