I picked up this book while waiting for my own third husband (who is not a dog) at Barnes & Noble. I laughed out loud in under 20 seconds and surrendered my American Express card shortly thereafter. It was worth it.

To be able to connect to a writer and her story is a gift. For 288 pages, I found a sister in spirit. She has what she calls "unresolutions," which are simply things you're already doing that you don't want to change, like: "UnResolution #1. I sleep in my clothes, and I resolve to keep sleeping in my clothes." I can relate to this. Mine is: "I resolve to keep working in my pajamas." We both work at home.

It's a soul-satisfying experience to relate so completely to words on a page and the person behind them. In her new book, Lisa Scottoline shows us why she is a hero to many who look for a way to love as a single woman. She is content to replace romance in her life with love for family, pets and books. She writes: "Finding my own voice is every woman's journey."
