Day One: Soft Launch

Blogs - Chief of Pray Blog

susan_at_airport

So here I am waiting at Palm Beach Airport again, but this time it's all good, because I volunteered to take a later flight for $300.  Cool!  So, me an my hubby David's computer are at the airport with an extra 3 hours to work.

Ed told me I need to blog. I'm not a writer and I don't read blogs.  I never even watch reality TV. Ed told me people would want to know the "behind scenes" of Prayables, my new website.  Ed told me women  will want to get to know me;  the publisher behind the prayers.  Yoo hooooo, if you're out there, here goes!

Day One: soft launch www.inspirationalprayersforwomenofdifferentreligions.com  That's our secret formal name, AKA  prayables.com. We're trying to get as many popular keywords in the URL as we can, so the search engines will find us easier. It's an experiment.

So far, minor problem with AWeber,  the service that sends out our daily email prayer, they truncated it, so we fooled 'em with a bit.ly  shortener.  They fooled us back by screwing up our apostrophes. Round One goes to Aweber.  (Ed's Note: The apostrophe thing was actually my bad, not aWeber's. Oops!)

I'm not thinking this will be a techie blog. But, I'll let you in on a few back-end tidbits, just in case you're out there and you want to start your own online biz. My favorite prayer for today, will be about writers, because I guess I am one, now.  This one's on video too!

Whispers to a Writer

I ask You today for inspiration in my writing.
Let my imagination burst into bloom like a new rose in June,
petal by petal unfolding fresh wisdom and energy.
You are my most bountiful resource.
Tune my ear to Your merest whisper.
Let me hear You in those around me,
in nature, in the quietest recess of my heart.
Let my words be an echo of Your boundless wonder.
