Healing Prayers - Prayers for hope, health, and coming together - Prayables
I ask of You this simple thing:
To make my friend whole again.
Sickness is but a wrong turn taken,
but You in your wisdom
can lead her back to wholeness.
Awaken within her with Your touch sublime.
Let there be the right way
to turn for perfect health, to feel
Your healing hands, Your healing heart.

Waiting Room
I wait to hear Your voice.
What should I do? How can I help?
Where do I turn?
I wait to lend a hand to Your children,
young and old,
near and far,
those I know and those
who are known only to You.
As I wait, prepare me
to do Your work
with Your name on my lips
so that all will know
Who sent me.
What should I do? How can I help?
Where do I turn?
I wait to lend a hand to Your children,
young and old,
near and far, those I know and those
who are known only to You.
As I wait, prepare me
to do Your work
with Your name on my lips
so that all will know
Who sent me.

Friend Indeed
I’m supposed to be good with words, but my friend is so sick.
She needs me to cheer her up,
to crack wise in my funny accent.
I don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
What I do know is Who will bring tomorrow.
All I can tell her is that there is always hope.
Speak through me as I comfort and encourage her,
and make my words true.
Be there, where the hurt is.
Let the healing begin from the inside out.
Give her a chance to grow grey hairs,
to qualify for a senior discount,
to reminisce with me.
Refreshed
Breathe when all else fails,Breathe to reconnect.
In the freshness of the air,
You are there taking me
to my final place, for today,
we are ending on a note
of kindness and grace.
One of Us
It's been years since we prayed together,

years we could have grown apart
but somehow didn't.
I see Your hand in this.
The same hand that formed us,
loud and raucous,
into friends.
No one could shut us up, then or now.
It is time to raise our voices again.
We pray for one of our own.
We visualize her cancer-free.
We project our future — old ladies,
still talking about school dances
and humiliating crushes, together.
It wouldn't be us without her.
We pray for one of our own.
We visualize her cancer-free.
We project our future — old ladies,
still talking about school dances
and humiliating crushes, together.
It wouldn't be us without her.
