Sitting in the doctor's office, twisting tissue,
hoping now the news is good.
Searching for my source of comfort
that only You can provide.
Calling out, I sense Your closeness.

You, who never leave my side,
please let me feel brave, optimistic,
and reassured that You have heard my prayer.

The door opens slowly.
You give me faith, and I am certain
the doctor will be smiling.
