Courage to Reach Out

WCouragetoReachOut"Help those in need,"
You tell me,
but I hesitate.

Will she welcome my help
or think I'm interfering?
Because she has so little,
will it look like I'm
flaunting all I have,
rubbing her face in my success?
What if I do or say the wrong thing?

Worries fill my mind
until I realize, once again,
I've missed an opportunity
to do good work.

Help me feel Your gentle hand
guiding me out the door,
urging me forward
to offer whatever help I can.
On my own, doubts assail me.
Be my shield and give me the courage
to reach out to help those in need.
