How do I pray
for all of this to be okay?
Countless dead,
immeasurable suffering,
babies, children of every age,
languishing, dying,
more already gone.

Overwhelmed by the pictures
as the camera pans
like a movie scene.
If only.
Please, help me know what to do,
what to say, how to help
somehow, some way.
Even though I understand
I can't make everything okay.
