Biological Clock

Trying not to see it as some great mysteryWBiologicalClock-Prayer
or some kind of cosmic test, but
just give me some idea.  
Okay, a sign.

Are we not meant to have children?
We’re a loving couple,
completely attuned to You;
we’ve got money in the bank
and a whole support system
of babysitters in waiting.

Two sets of grandparents
and they all get along famously.
All we need now is the baby to fill in the blanks.
Let me know clearly
what You have in store for us,
so I don’t pin all my hopes on
something that isn’t in Your will.
