Fleeting Solitude

WFleetingSolitudeI will let the land lie fallow.
I will not need to be
the center of attention all the time.
I will let others shine when it is their turn,
with not attempt to steal their limelight.
I shall rest while amidst the busyness
and clear the calendar, not because I must,
but because I want to.
I'll give myself time to think.
Time to nurture my soul, and forgive.
To cancel the debts of others unto me.
Time to breathe – time to be me.
To curb the temptation, jostle, and hustle,
and cut the strings of rush and dash,
as I heed the murmured invitation
of alone time with You.
