I've Missed You

WIveMissedYouYears ago, when I first fell in love with You,
nothing could silence our connection.
The warm assurances we shared were non-stop.
You were Everything. Everywhere. Always.

Until...
Explosive heart-break. Unfair loss. Pain.
It was so scalding hot,
not even You could console me.
I see now that's only
because You are gentle and patient.
I had become guarded; poisoned by cynicism.

But again, I am love-sick.
Dizzy and tired from not being near You.
Now I'm here, ready to rest my head
on Your life-giving chest.
Ready to be reunited with You.
Ready to thank You for having Your arms open
and ready for me.
