A momentous career announcement was made:
“Mimi, I don’t think I want to work at a store anymore.”
“Oh? Where do you want to work now?”
“I’m going to be a waiter at McDonald’s.”

That’s a conversation I had recently with my 4-year old grand-daughter. She’s taken another step closer to defining her career goals. Just a month ago she wanted to be a cheerleader. Thinking about your life’s work at any age is a great way to 
imagine the possibilities.

In the age of employment uncertainty, we could all use a little imagination in moving to a real career transformation. Here’s 4 steps to a new future:

1. Sit with a child and imagine the possibilities.
2. Read a great career advice book, What Color is Your Parachute? is a classic.
3. Make new goals. Find a mentor and coach to help you get there.
4. Pray for guidance and inspiration from the One who knows you best.

Possibilities abound when you invite others to the process, open your mind to learning new things and open your heart to the spirit soaring from your soul.

like piles of papers on this desk.
