The new question is: “Is it provocative?” Why should I buy, why should I attend, why should I call you? Why? Why? Why? What is it about you that’s provocative or repressive?

According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, provocative is an adjective tending to provoke, excite, or stimulate. Do you stimulate those you come in contact with, or do you hold back, causing those around you to hold back too?

Let’s get it right. Next time you have an intelligent conversation, make a business or life decision, or buy that next power suit or dress (I’m not talking about that black dress on sale that shows everything but the veins in your body), make sure it’s provocative.

If not, just keep your ears open and your mouth shut until you start exciting yourself enough, to uplift, empower, inspire and excite others. Thank God for your ability to be provocative. After all, it's God who stimulates the most provocative conversations you can have.

Forgive, Forget, Move On

How can I ever forget?
You tell me forgiving begets forgetting.
Easier said than done.
I nurse my hurts and keep them close,
like treasured souvenirs.
Pry open my fists and force them loose.
It is time to move on,
even though I'm afraid of the road ahead,
what it looks like
without the distraction of old wounds.
You will have to push me.
You will have to help me see without distrust,
as a newborn sees.
The world is going to look different.
I am ready to envision it.
