What Happens When You Pray
Prayer is letting go and letting God take over. It takes some heavy lifting to bend over, pick up a lowly prayer, and L-I-F-T it up overhead until it makes like a twinkle-twinkle little star and finds its place in the heavens. The reward for hard work is always – usually sweeter. Right? When you pray, you feel better. When you pray you make a connection to God that honors Him. When you pray your prayers are heard and answered. I know. I know. I can hear you say it. “But, I don’t always get the right answer.” Prayer is not the time to put on your smarty pants. It’s the time to simply trust God. The answer to your prayer may not always be the one you think it should be. And well heck, who has the answers to why God does what He does? Or more to the point, why God does not do what you want Him to do. Take charge. Own responsibility for earthly behavior. And don’t forget to pray.Lifting up prayer to God is a very human privilege. Take advantage. Pray. Make a prayer request, and take 10 in return. Don’t forget the follow up. Post and repost. Make a praise report. Don’t worry about the how. You’ll get an email with links for editing, closing the prayer request, and giving praise to God and community on behalf of your request. Be sure to check off the box that let’s you know how many times your prayer has been lifted up. That’s a snazzy little extra that’ll help you keep track and make it easy to come back. Make your prayer requests, pray for others, and share praise reports with your Prayables family.
