{quotes}
Faith is like a gently flowing river watering the earth with blessings.
Grief is unbearable. Then it fades, only to come back at a moment’s notice. It catches you off guard. It sends you to bed. It sends you to dark places until, God willing, you get up and try again.
Maria Shriver
I love the one that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection.
Thomas Paine
No one was ever great without some portion of divine inspiration.
Marcus Tullius Cicero
The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible.
Winston Churchill
Love and be loved.
{blessings}
Let it Work
Don’t give in to self-doubt, insecurity, or fear of failure. Instead, embrace it and let it work for you. May God bless you with the spirit to overcome.
View From Above
It’s a great big world we live in and it’s larger than any one person’s view. May God bless us all with expanded vision to see beyond our borders, to understand those different from ourselves and to be limitless in our love.
You’re Invited
Invite yourself to the private party that is prayer. May you be blessed with meaningful sacred conversation, spiritual appetite satiated and soul invigorated.
Developing Skills
God gave you a special talent. May you be blessed to develop the skills to use your gift to serve God and humankind.
Love in Action
Do what you love to do – not what you think you should do. Love in action is a powerful force of God and nature. May you be blessed to know that what you do matters.
{prayers}
Hurt I Cause
Lord show me grace in spite of the mistakes I make, the hurt I cause, the harm I do to others. Lord protect me when I make bad decisions, give in to temptation, stray from your path. Lord bring favor to me and I will use it to further good causes, to help good people, to live a life worthy of Your blessings.
God’s Genius
The ground beneath my feet is holy. Yet I do not walk softly, instead I walk boldly as You dear God, would have me do. My prayer is praise for Your genius, You know what is best for me, and You know what is needed from me.
Oremus
So let us pick up the stones over which we stumble friends, and build altars. Let us listen to the sound of breath in our bodies. Let us listen to the sounds of our own voices, of our own names, of our own fears. Let us name the harsh light and soft darkness that surround us. Let’s claw ourselves out from the graves we’ve dug, let’s lick the earth from our fingers. Let us look up, and out, and around. The world is big, and wide, and wild and wonderful and wicked, and our lives are murky, magnificent, malleable and full of meaning. Oremus Let us pray.
Padraig O Tuama
Empower Me
I claim my power! Now, dear God, empower me. There is nothing we can’t do together as One.
I’ve Got You
Whoever does not have love in their life, does not have You. I am blessed by Your holy affection, attention and devotion. Thank You dear God for creating this world in love.
