{quotes}
We worry more about the purity of dogma than about the integrity of love.
Abraham Joshua Heschel
You’ll learn that whenever you decide something with an open heart, you will usually make the right decision.
Maya Angelou (adapted)
The three things that bring you closer to God are prayer, faith, and action.
Never place a period where God has placed a comma.
Faith means trusting in advance what will only make sense in reverse.
Kindness is like air – it’s needed for the sustenance of all living things.
{blessings}
Life is Blessed
Today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday. Not as bad as you expected, right? So change your worry to welcome, by accepting the truth that your life is blessed and you are too.
Holy Acts of Simple Kindness
A person who does ordinary things asks a waitstaff person to bring her water. A person who does holy things first says hello and then asks the waitstaff person how they are doing today. May you be blessed to do holy acts of simple kindness. Transform the ordinary things into extraordinary ones.
Sunshine
Most of the shadows in your life is caused by standing in your own sunshine. May God bless you with insight and wisdom. Get to know yourself well enough and let your light dispel the gloom.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Lucky
Spotting a ladybug is good luck. Helping her “fly away home” is a good deed. May you be blessed with a lucky day and may you be helpful along the way.
Life is Sweet
Life is sweet. Family is a treat. Good friends can’t be beat. God is your retreat. May your life be blessed by God, family, and good friends.
{prayers}
Hear Our Prayer
God, Hear our prayer. We pray to hear the music of the world and the cries from those who need us. May we be blessed with Your gift of holy listening; in joy and sorrow, for loved ones and strangers, on this day and on all the days to come.
Fresh Perspective
Lord. Recover what my enemies have stolen from me. Heal family rifts, renew tired relationships, and revive weary faith. Give me the kind of rest I need to gain a fresh perspective. Make me wise to know boundaries, show me what’s mine and let me release that which doesn’t belong to me. Amen
Susie Larson
For Blessing My Life
Lord, I thank You and praise You for my life which is in Your hands for my soul which is in Your care for the miracles experienced each day and for Your wondrous favor blessing my life. Amen
Hurt’s So Bad
It hurts so bad. Dull the pain with love. Blur the sharp edges. Remind me from bad comes good. Help me realize after sorrow, joy is sweeter. Better times are ahead. I can endure it with God by my side.
Kismet
Call it kismet or divine intervention, I am where I need to be. Let me never forget that I did not wander here unplanned by chance. You led me to this place. I am on stage awaiting my cue. What can I do for You here? With whom can I connect? Let me do Your work and will, and we shall move together to the next destination. Only You know my destiny, though I know this: In providence, I am never lost.

Holy Humor: Praying at the Wall
A CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, every day, for a long, long time. So, she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was, walking slowly up to the holy site. She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes, when he turned to leave, using a cane and moving very slowly, she approached him for an interview. “Pardon me, sir, I’m Rebecca Smith from CNN. What’s your name?” “Morris Feinberg,” he replied. “Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?” “For about 60 years.” “60 years! That’s amazing! What do you pray for?” “I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews and the Muslims. I pray for all the wars and all the hatred to stop.” I pray for all our children to grow up safely as responsible adults and to love their fellow man. I pray that politicians tell us the truth and put the interests of the people ahead of their own interests.” “How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?” “Like I’m talking to a wall.”
