I’m amazed by the busyness that May brings. This month is filled with transitions and changes, not only in the landscape as vibrant shades of green replace the cold, barren months, but also in our household, daily rhythms, and even in the growth of my children. They’ve become more mature, taller, leaner, and thankfully a bit smarter since the start of the school year.
Observing the farm, the fields are blooming with flowers, and there’s produce to be harvested from the ground. We’ve swapped shoes for flip-flops and turned on the AC to cool off after a day spent outdoors in the heat. June is approaching with its cheerful vibe, offering plans, adventures, destinations to explore, and time to simply be.
I find solace in the seasonal visuals, as nature exemplifies that change is constant and essential for us to embrace the richness of life. I’m grateful to be actively involved in this reality, not just as an observer but as a caretaker participating in the earth’s cycle of change through farming.
May will be eventful. I expect victories, celebrations, and unexpected blessings, alongside losses and challenges, and probably some sadness.
Such is life—a delicate balance between the blessings and sorrows, joy and pain.
A soul that remains perpetually light-hearted and cheerful may miss the profound aspects of life. While such a life may seem content and fulfilled, its depth remains shallow. The heart remains unchallenged, failing to reach its fullest potential in experiencing life’s peaks and valleys.
I offer you hope and encouragement today, reminding you that change is inevitable and essential for us to grasp a hope that transcends circumstances. This unwavering Hope remains constant and unchanging. Watch hope bloom.
