Blog: God Source, Transformation

Here is your invitation. You are invited not simply to become more courageous or more fully yourself. Instead, to discover that you were never meant to be your own source.

The good news is that God is with you in your transformation, and it’s not only self-improvement.

I will give you a new heart and a new spirit I will put within you.
Ezekiel 36:26

You are not asked to construct a tidier, more admirable version of yourself. You are invited to receive life from the One who is Life—and to walk with God so that His love, character, and purposes become visible through us.

Here’s a simple picture of this.

A tomato seed does not wonder whether it should become a cucumber, invent a better identity, or strain toward a more impressive existence. The life of the tomato plant is already held within it. When it is placed in good soil, watered, in a warm, light place, and protected through the season, it grows.

In the same way, the soul that God created, exclusively for you, is within. Flourishing and growing. God’s Spirit surrounds you and dwells within you. Deepen your fellowship with Him—place your trust, dependence, awareness, and willingness to walk by faith into whatever He places before you.

Only then will you and your ways become visible as fruit: not something you perform to prove that you belong, but someone who grows with a purpose to nourish, encourage, welcome, and serve others.

Perhaps you are standing at an opening of your own, weary from trying to force growth, manufacture joy, discover your purpose, repair yourself, or build a life that finally feels secure.

The answer is not to strive harder, but to remember that you were never meant to be your own source.

Living in awe and gratitude to God is your gift. Abiding and walking in faith is how you grow to your full potential.

The adventure is the shape God’s Spirit takes through the callings and opportunities before us, and the fruit is how your life becomes visible and available for the good of others.
