Perhaps you were born for a moment such as this.
Esther 4:14
It’s my favorite bible quote.
The story goes like this. An ordinary woman finds herself in a circumstance where she becomes a queen married to a powerful king.
She didn’t expect it, and she didn’t want it.
But her people are in trouble, and she’s in a position to save them.
She does. The people rejoice.
God chose her to be in the right place at the right time.
And she was good.
Do you ever wonder, “Why me?”
As this new year unfolds, you will find yourself in challenging circumstances.
You will be struggling to understand “why.”
You may question your purpose or unquestioningly follow it.
You can embrace God’s plan or complain about it.
But think about this.
Perhaps you were born for a moment such as this.
2023 is a moment in time when there is medical care to cure you. Where you can video chat with your loved ones who live far, far away. How you have a computer always at your fingertips to inform and amuse you.
Airplanes, motor cars, and social security checks that miraculously appear in your bank account every month.
The list is long. It’s filled with blessings that keep on giving.
As for me, I am grateful for you, dear friends, and Prayables family.
I was born to serve God. By writing to you, creating for you, and sharing stories to strengthen your faith in God.
To put a smile on your face.
To touch your heart.
To reinforce the values you were taught.
To remind you to thank and praise God today.
I am loving this moment that started as an idea in year two thousand nine and continues into this year two thousand twenty-three.
God willing, I intend to continue praying with you for many, many years more in good health and good spirits.
Praise be our God who graciously gives us moments such as this.
