Dear Friend,
This past week, it’s felt like spring is having a hard time… well, springing. Cold winds, gray skies, and that tug-of-war between seasons can wear on even the sunniest souls. But that’s spring, isn’t it? A season not of basking or harvesting—but of trusting.
We can get so eager for the warmth and wonder of summer that we forget what spring really is: a time to sow and believe. It’s a season of preparing, hoping, and following through—planting seeds now for the beauty we hope to see later.
And while it’s a busy time full of work and planning, there’s also rest to be found in it. Spring moves to the quiet rhythm of God’s sovereign hand—His timing, His power, His promise—at work beneath the surface, whether we see it or not.
I find myself reflecting on all the seeds we’ve planted over the years—seeds of promise, purpose, people, places, and plans. Many have matured, and this year, we get to sit in their shade and celebrate their beauty.
Others are just breaking through the surface, not yet in full bloom—but we trust the deeper rhythm of a faithful Creator who finishes what He begins. And that’s reason enough to keep planting.
May this season remind us all to trust the process, to plant what matters, and to believe in the beauty still to come.
