A man finds a bottle on a sandy beach and uncorks it. Much to his surprise, a genie appears before him.
The genie thanks the man for releasing him and says, “I can grant you one wish.”
He thought for only a minute. “I wish to travel the entire world on my motorcycle, but I’m terrified of boats. I wish for a massive highway connecting the whole world so that I can ride my bike everywhere on God’s green earth.”
The man proceeds to fumble around in his backpack and pulls out a huge world map he had made. It is marked with all the waterways that need to be bridged and all the mountains that need to be excavated. He shows it to the genie.
The genie takes one look and explains that while he is magic, he doesn’t possess the power to grant him a wish of that magnitude. He asksd the man to pick another wish.
The man thinks about it for a minute. “Peace in the Middle East.” He replies.
The genie shakes his head, sighs, and says, “Let me see that map again.”
