A wealthy businessman in his late 60s was trying to woo a beautiful 25-year-old woman.
One evening, while out on a lavish dinner date, he looked into her eyes and asked, “Will you marry me?”
The woman sighed and looked down. “I’m sorry,” she said. “You’re a very nice man, but there’s a significant age difference between us. I just don’t think I can do it.”
The man smiled gently, leaned across the table, and whispered, “I understand. But you should know that my father is 92 years old, in very poor health, and I am his only child. He is worth hundreds of millions of dollars. When he passes away, I will inherit everything.”
The woman paused, looked at him thoughtfully, and said, “Let me think about it.”
A few days later, the man called her back. “So,” he asked eagerly, “have you thought about it? What’s your answer?”
“Oh, I’m so sorry,” she replied sweetly. “I can’t marry you. I married your father on Thursday.”
