Three women went down to Mexico to celebrate their college graduations. They woke up in jail with no memory of the previous night and were told they would be executed in the morning.
The first woman was strapped into the electric chair and asked if she had any last words. She replied, “I just graduated from Brigham Young University, and I believe in the almighty power of God to intervene for the innocent.”
They threw the switch, but nothing happened. Immediately, everyone in the room fell to their knees, begged for her forgiveness, and released her.
The second woman was strapped in, and her last words were, “I just graduated from Harvard Law School, and I believe in the power of justice to intervene for the innocent.”
Once again, they threw the switch, but nothing happened. The same response occurred; everyone dropped to their knees, begged for her forgiveness, and released her.
The third woman was strapped in and said, “Well, I’m from Georgia Tech, and I just graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering. I’ll tell you right now, y’all ain’t gonna electrocute anyone if you don’t plug this thing in!”
