Two brothers lived on opposite sides of the mountain. One brother had no wife and no children, while the other had a wife and seven children.
Each brother feels bad for the other.
“My brother has so many mouths to feed. I’ll bring him more grain.” The single brother thought.
The brother with the large family thought, “My brother has no one to help him on his land. I’ll bring grain. He needs it more than I do.”
And so, unbeknownst to the brothers, every night, they each climb the mountain that separates them and they drop off a load of grain to the other.
Until one night.
For the first time, the brothers carried out their task at the exact same time. They arrived at the top of the mountain, each with a sack of grain for the other.
When they realized what was going on and learned of each other’s motives, they hugged tightly. Both brothers were overwhelmed with the love, generosity, and consideration they had for one another.
We should all live our lives like these two brothers, Over-sharing, loving fully, and always considerate of the needs of each other.
