Days End
Dear Lord, I am grateful for the day’s end. I rest in prayer and reflect on the blessings I encountered today: the peek-a-boo of sunlight sneaking through my shades at dawn. A car that propelled me forward to my place of work. A hot lunch that filled my belly and warmed my soul. For I know it’s You who provides – and for that I give thanks. Amen
Sings My Soul
Lord my God! When I consider all the works Your hand has made, I am in awesome wonder. I see the clouds, I hear the rushing water, Your power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul.
Prayer of Joy
God, Thank You for joy and delight, for wonders and awe. For moments of gladness and celebration. Grant me the ability to breathe gentleness into my hours and seasons, so that I live awake to beauty, to holiness, to the radiance that surrounds us. Grant me wisdom to arrive each day with passion and humor, with song and dance, with smiling eyes, in service to myself, in service to others, in service to Your holy name.
I am no Angel
Dear God, I fall short, but You are my help. I am no angel, yet I look to You. I am not strong-You are unshakable. I amy not be perfect, but I am willing. I know in my weakness, I have Your grace. For tough decisions, I have Your Spirt. For every need, I have You. Amen
Precious Day
Dear Lord, This is the day You made for my use, for my enjoyment, for my service. Today, I live with love. Today, I will share laughter. Today, I will know the blessings You give me. Thank You Lord, for this precious day. Amen
