Beyond the windy trees of thought
In the valley of reflection
Amid the certitudes of spirit
And quietudes of soul,
Is the placid pool of prayer,
Where I may find myself
Alone with the Alone,
And one with the One,
May I lose my self.
Be still, all you windy thoughts
That blow through my mind,
And sit down with me
By prayer’s still waters.
